Canada visa fee in Pakistani rupees: 2027 table

Below are the government fees that IRCC lists on its fee page (last changed 21 September 2026). They are the same for every country, so a Pakistani applicant pays exactly what an applicant from anywhere else pays. For this guide, PKR amounts use a mid-market rate of about 1 CAD = PKR 198 (late October 2026), rounded. IRCC charges in Canadian dollars, so the rupee amount on your card statement depends on your bank's rate on the day you pay, and banks often add a margin of several percent.

Beyond the visa fee

What the total cost usually looks like

However, the visa fee is only part of the bill. Most applicants from Pakistan also pay for some of the items below. Besides, prices vary by provider and change often, so check the provider's own website before you budget.

🏢

VFS service charges

First of all, the visa application centre charges its own service fee in rupees, on top of IRCC's CAD 85 biometrics fee. In addition, optional extras such as courier or photocopies cost more.

📝

Language test

For example, study, work and PR applications usually need IELTS, CELPIP, PTE Core or a French test. Therefore, book only with the official test provider.

🎓

Credential assessment

Likewise, Express Entry's Federal Skilled Worker Program needs an Educational Credential Assessment for Pakistani degrees.

🩺

Medical exam

Also, if IRCC asks, you must use an IRCC-approved panel physician in Pakistan and pay their fee directly.

📄

Documents

Similarly, police certificates, translations, attestation and photos all add small costs.

🏦

Proof of funds

Not a fee, but you must show you can support yourself. Study permit and Express Entry have fixed minimum amounts.

Payment

How to pay Canada visa fees from Pakistan

  1. Apply in your IRCC account Today, applicants submit almost all applications online. The fee page appears at the end.
  2. Pay with an international card In general, IRCC accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, UnionPay and Visa/Mastercard debit cards. First, make sure your bank has enabled your Pakistani card for international online payments.
  3. Save the receipt After paying, download the IRCC receipt and keep it. As a result, you can prove payment later if needed.
  4. Pay VFS separately However, you pay the VFS service charge to VFS Global, not to IRCC.

How to avoid wasting money

IRCC does not refund fees if it refuses your application. Only the RPRF is refundable. A weak application costs you the full fee, so read our guide to Canada visa refusal reasons before you pay.
Moreover, IRCC never asks for payment on WhatsApp, by bank transfer to a person, or through Easypaisa or JazzCash. If an "agent" quotes a "visa fee" of several lakh rupees for a visitor visa, it is not the government fee. Learn how to verify a Canada job offer before paying anyone.

FAQs

Canada visa fee in Pakistani rupees: FAQs

How much is the Canada visit visa fee in Pakistani rupees?

In short, the visitor visa fee is CAD 100 (about PKR 19,800) plus CAD 85 biometrics (about PKR 16,830), so roughly PKR 36,600 for one adult, before VFS service charges.

Will Canada visa fees change in 2027?

Temporary visa fees have stayed the same for several years, while permanent residence fees are adjusted for inflation every two years. Therefore, always check IRCC's fee list on the day you apply.

Is the fee refunded if my visa is refused?

No. IRCC does not refund processing fees once it starts processing. However, IRCC refunds the right of permanent residence fee (RPRF) if it refuses a PR application or you withdraw it.

Can I pay the Canada visa fee in rupees?

IRCC charges in Canadian dollars. Instead, your Pakistani bank converts the amount and charges your card in rupees at its own exchange rate.

Do children pay biometrics?

However, children under 14 do not give biometrics for visitor, study or work applications, so they do not pay the biometrics fee.
