Canada Super Visa from Pakistan 2027
A super visa lets parents and grandparents in Pakistan visit their children or grandchildren in Canada for up to 5 years at a time. Here is who qualifies, the insurance and income rules, and what it costs in rupees.
Who can apply for a super visa from Pakistan?
The super visa is a multiple-entry visitor visa for parents and grandparents. It is not permanent residence and does not allow work in Canada, but it allows much longer stays than a regular visitor visa.
Parents or grandparents
The applicant must be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident. Dependants of the applicant cannot be included.
Signed invitation
The child or grandchild in Canada must send a signed letter promising financial support for the whole visit and listing who lives in their household.
Minimum income
The child or grandchild must show their household income meets IRCC's minimum (based on the Low Income Cut-Off for their family size).
Medical exam
The applicant must complete an immigration medical exam with an IRCC-approved panel physician in Pakistan.
Medical insurance and income requirements
- Insurance from a Canadian company, or from an approved foreign company authorized by Canada's financial regulator (OSFI)
- At least CAD 100,000 of emergency coverage
- Covers health care, hospitalization and repatriation
- Valid for at least 1 year from the date of entry
- Paid in full or in instalments, with proof
- Income proof from the host, such as a Notice of Assessment or T4

| Biometrics, couple applying together (maximum) | 170 | 33,660 |
| One parent total (government fees) | 185 | 36,630 |
PKR amounts use a mid-market rate of about 1 CAD = PKR 198 (late October 2026), rounded. IRCC charges in Canadian dollars, so the rupee amount on your card statement depends on your bank's rate on the day you pay, and banks often add a margin of several percent. Insurance is usually the largest cost and depends on age and health. See all fees in our Canada visa fee in PKR guide.
